Home Interior Decoration Tips To Make Your Home Look Awesome

Both Diwali and Christmas are coming closer, so is the year closing. It may be the right time to make your home awesome. Why not get some advice from some interior decorators in Mumbai. They can come up with some great ideas to transform the place. These tips may prompt you to search for the right decorators.

A little modification can make a large difference

·         If the wall paint is chipping off or if the recent rains have blackened certain areas of the home, it is time to consider refurbishing. The drab walls will come alive and you will enjoy the space. Instead of getting the wall painted, try wallpaper. So many prints and textures can grace the walls of the rooms. A paint job may be cumbersome and long. Pasting wallpaper is done in a day without much ado.

·         Adding an accent to the room is another inexpensive way to modify the space. The dining table cloth can be changed with a new runner and mats with coasters to match. Add a glass top and it becomes amazing.

·         Add a Chinese porcelain vase collection and match the rest of the décor with it. It will make everyone go ‘wow’. However, this may not work if you have growing children in the house. Instead, add a study desk with some beautiful lamps for the kids. It will make them study more.

·         Rugs and carpets are now quite affordable. They add volume to the room. They can also be cleaned easily. This is another inexpensive way to decorate the rooms. It will be low on maintenance.

·         Use dramatic curtains to add an aura of luxury to the rooms.  The tufts and tassels make the curtains more elegant. A mix and match patterns of bed sheets, duvets and runners make the bedroom more interesting. In India, we have an enormous palette to choose from-batik designs, floral themes in cotton, gabardine and brocade linings. The entire set can have a royal feel.

·         Have you ever thought of adding an antique piece in the bathroom? Alternatively, decorate it with plants and fiber goodies that may not be affected by the moisture inside. If the space is big enough, it can be dressed up with good lighting.

·         Normally everyone varnishes the wooden furniture after the rains. Have you tried to paint it white or in any other pastel shade? It will transform the entire setting. Maybe your dining table needs this color.
